Ahrrr... I've got the Knock-em down dilemma's again. Here I am sitting on the balcony on Mt Moil in Darwin, cold can in hand with little droplets running down from the top, cooking a BBQ and along comes a bloody knock-em down storm and rolled all the snags off the plate!! But hey... I've come up with a cracker idea. Because I'm such a conasower...err conusuer arr.. oh bugger it, i like snaggers,. why don't we invent SQUARE ones? But then I really got thinking ... just as the pork chops started to develop LIFFT on the top side and defeat the theory, that PIGS CANT FLY,...what if we made snag's triangular? You would only have to turn them, three times. or one sided and we wouldn't have to turn them at ALL. Narr.. forget it, the whole bloody lots gone now! Oh.. the Territory, ya wouldn't leave it for Quids.

Three sided? We've already got two sided anti-roll snags. I call 'em patty's.

Narr.. don't work up here. They end up on their edge and roll away like wagon wheels.

Haaaaaaaaa, thanks Noel, needed a good laugh. I just had thoughts of you being carried around on the shoulders of some mexicans like the kid that thought up the idea of flat bottom Taco Shells

Hey WYSIWYG,
Now There is an invention... but unfortunately, up here, on the veranda on Mt Moil, they need props on each side, or they end up stuck on the window with the the snags and patties.

Just what a bloke needed at 4AM with my usual post chemo migraines etc. A damned good laugh.

Cheers and time for another toddy to see if I can get some damned sleep. Its only been two nights so far. One more to go night!!!!!

Got caught up a radio tower in Vietnam by a beauty one arvo. We just tied ourselves on and enjoyed the ride. Scary as hell but an adrenalin rush I have never felt before. Different priorities then.

I recall sitting on the veranda (real one) and watching the summer storms roll in across the flats at my sisters place outside Holbrook. Awesome.

Haven't struck anything in the "real" bush in decades. Sitting on the cliff at Bells and watching those southern swells roll in. Mother nature at her best. Can't beat her.

But I do recall having BBQ's under a beach umbrella on more than one occasion. They should make the snags waterproof!! Whatchyarekon.

Thanks again mate.

Phil

G' DAY Phil,
Next time ya driving past stop in and we'll have a snag or three. We are starting to get a few idea's together on keeping the mongrels on the plate, instead of them turning into RPG'S.

All the Best mate.

Geez Noel, just stick a wire coat hanger through them and hold it down with a brick, you Territorians have to learn to improvise mate, the main thing is don't let the Cans blow away, guard them with your life lOl.

Fred - LOL - That is seriously sick :-)

What else can you say?

But lets face it - you have to wonder how much you would already have had to drink, if you can not work out how to keep your snags on the barbie!!!!!

Nar Daza, tried bricks, they blew off too, but the coat hanger has merit, I could get the welder out and tack em to the plate!

"BLOODY HELL" Fred, that's painful!

Forget using the BBQ.

Just run the wire up the middle of the snags, hook the welder to either end, and cook the snags from the inside out!

Yum.

Nar Sally, I'd loose count of how many turns they had down, three sided snags would be less stressful.

Well.... well.. well .. only one fellow 4 wheel driver from the 70"s would know that, from countless club trips in the top end. Is this the best forum site or WHAT? This bloke and his two mates got us into more trouble than that bloke in Adelaide River. Hey of course I've made a box for em... how can you make a box any other shape.
All the best to you and all.
Go the WEAGLES
