Hi all, i know this topic has only recently been discussed but my new vehicle has with Blue air bags already installed and there was no mention of that particular colour.Red and Black were covered in discussion.
My question is, what type of air bags are they and what would be the recommened air pressure required when towing.

G'Day,

Mine are Blue, They are Firestone. They have been in now for almost 3 years & I have not had a problem. Fitted to a GU Patrol.
Not sure right now, but I think the max pressure is 30 psi. That might differ depending on the vehicle.
I drop mine down to around 5psi when I have no load in the car.

Thanks for that. I do keep them at 10 psi when not loaded, but the max pressure is the one i'm not sure of.
Cheers.

Red are generally PolyAirs , 5psi to 35psi , Blue are generally Firestone Coilrites , 10psi to 100psi , Black a generally stand alone AirBags that can and do take more weight.

Having said that I only need to put around 25 psi in my Firestones when towing a Jayco Eagle Outback camper.

Just found the installation instructions online for the Firestone Coilrite Blue Airbags & it says pressure range from 5-35 psi .( similar to the polyaire)

Maybe there are other Firestone Airbags around but the ones I have are Max 35 psi.
