I'm looking at a Maverick on gas and wondering what range uses of said vechile are getting to see if it would be suitable as I'm getting around 1100-1200k from my ageing MQ. Any feed back would be appreciated.

I had a GQ ST3 converted to gas a few years ago. They removed the main petrol tank and replaced it with the gas tank which had a nominal volume of 100 litres which equated to a useable 85. In addition they installed a 65 litre petrol tank under the drivers seat giving me a total of 140 litres. Whilst it used marginally more gas than petrol it was far more economical and gave me greater touring range if I chose to use the petrol as well.

I have a SWB Maverick, TB42, non EFI on lpg and petrol.

Averages about 25lt/100km in city, less on highway, a touch more in the bush.

Cheers,

Luke.
