Just after some information about tyre choice for the trip I have both of the following
285x75x16 FC-11 90% tread
285x75x16 silverstone MT-117 sports 95% thread
which would be the better choice

Not familiar with the MT-117s but those FC-IIs are a fantastic tyre - I got 90,000km out of my set including a 7,500k outback trip Red center and
Simpson Desert.
You will have no issues with them on
Cape York.
