lovells gas legend shock absorbers

hi
has anyone used these lovells brand shockies
i am considering them for gen purpose on rd
light offroad duty service

3yr 70000km warranty from 4wddirect.com.au
$439.00 freight free anywhere in australia

i'm aware of the you get what you pay for but for gen use should be ok

i am also aware of all other brands and have used ome/ gabriel/tough dog /kyc/monroe but not koni or bilstein but know that bilstein are highly rated and more expensive
tough foamcell are good and gave me excellent service for over 80th-kms but are $640 a set
but i'm not going anywhere rough like i used to so thought may be if some one has some feedback on the lovells i'd like to hear
incidently lovells in perth want $700 for the same set above plus frght
gotta be joking hey!
thanks
cheers

I can't offer any help but I am interested in the topic and prices asked for various brands. I often hear that the original shocks as supplied on new vehicles are useless and must be replaced. These people have confidence in the engineers who design most everything in our preferred vehicle but not their ability to select shocks.
I on the other hand only recently replaced my original shocks after 14 years use and 300,000 ks. When choosing a brand I went with original Toyota replacements at a cost of $240 for a set of 4. I guess I will be called crazy but I can't imagine that a set costing 3 times as much could be so much better. I think like many things these products are over priced due to good marketing and a willingness by consumers to pay.
Best regards Cruiser

hi cruiser
thanks for your interest and thoughts
toyota standard shocks maybe ok
but the standard mazda shocks are sub standard and dont stop the body sway or roll i found the tough dog foam cell did this well when towing a caravan and where excellent off rd
but i 'm not doing either now days and just trying to find a standard set better than what mazda supply without spending too much and for a reason
thanks and have a good eata egg period
cheers
