Hi Guys,

I don't know about the 76 series but I fitted Commodore seat from a 94 model to the passenger side of our 80 series but had to make an adaptor frame.
Very comfortable. I left the standard single seat on the drivers side and it also is very good.
Hope that helps,
Ian

I remember Roothy put some jap sedan seats in his 45 and they collapsed.

I suggest you use something with a bit of strength , especially if you are a bit on the heavy side.

Maybe Commodore but better something from a 4WD. Old Range Rover seats are strong and comfortable.

you will still have to adapt the new seat to the 76 seat runners .
arb make a resonably comfortable seat

i am in the process of same dilema but have spoken to a motor trimmer who can rebuild the foam etc in my factory seats...

orth a try the aftermarket seats are crazy expensive but many people do opt for dunnydoor seats or honda seats...

I bought some second-hand Recaros for my 79series.
Because they have a flat base, and because you already have 2 buckets, its very easy to adapt them to the Toyota runners. A few years back you could get them for less than $1000 the pair from one of the Jap Car wreckers at Holden Hill.
