I have a 2003 Rodeo TD and it engages 4WD low range when it feels like it.This is normally engaged via buttons on the dash (wish it was via lever on the floor like my old GU ) Had it to Mechanic and no idea 's.Any suggestions ?

We had a 2004 turbo diesel work ute that would engage 4wd whenever it felt like it and the light would not necessarily be on i'm not 100% sure (because it was a few years back) but i think the holden dealer replaced a unit under the drivers
seat on warranty. The 01 model (with the gear lever)we have is better in the sticky stuff than that one and the colorado it was traded on
