Desmond,
Not sure what you mean by "do Natmaps". The Natmaps package comes on a DVD as lots of gigabytes - not something that can be downloaded. It's available from the ExplorOz
shop for $99 + p&p. If we're talking about the same thing, it includes electronic maps covering Australia at 1:250000 and 1:1000000, landsat imagery covering the continent,.........

You can in fact download the 1:250k topographic maps for free from GeoScience website.

Thanks Paul. I wasn't aware of that. Must be a humungous download if you get all of Oz! Some areas are pretty dated, but we find the 1:250k set is our most generally used map.

You need the REGISTERED version to load ECW maps.

The registered version of Oziexplorer is required. If you only have the Trail version you may have a problem down loading Natmaps from disk. Cheers

I do have the maps from ExploreOz. It's when I go to install using the 'complete' request (installing to hard drive) that the 'error writing to file: .....Verify that you have access in that directory' message that comes up.
Not sure if its a disk problem or me!

Desmond - type "error writing to file: .....Verify that you have access in that directory" into Google and search for it. I've just done so and you are not the first to run into it. Microsoft has answers, but it's beyond me to interpret them!
Good Luck!
