Hi all, am trying to get a bit of info as to road conditions on lake king to norseman road, if anyone has recently been on it I would really appreciate any feedback. I would normally take it as it comes (the track, that is) but will be towing trailer so will need to assess as to whether to take the long way round. thanks in anticipation

Hi Carree

I recall a recent post (i think it was on this forum) of someone finding it closed due to fire, so they went via the Hyden Norseman road.

Last year when we were coming home from a five month lap, we found it temporarily closed (due to rain i believe), so had to return to Norseman and go via the Hyden road.

If it is open (as there may have been rain over past couple of days) towing is not a problem on it. We have even towed our caravan on it in heavy rain in the past, when very muddy and sloshy.

Check with Mains Roads for closures. 1800 013 314

Thanks Motherhen, I will check with main roads as they may have had a bit of rain up that way. I was going to go on the Hyden Norseman but have been on that so thought I would have a look at something else for a change. Thanks again and take care
