I have the CD of the Toyota Land Cruiser manual and had no trouble on Windows XP.....(yes a licensed version with my serial #)
my desk top is now running with Windows Vista
Home Premium
my new laptop is Windows 7
Neither of which allows me to auto run the CD ....nor can I find any other way of opening or viewing the CD
Is any one able to help me work out how to access this please?
Thanks

hi, does the cd use a pdf reader such as adobe to open and view the manual? if so perhaps try dowloading the latest version for win 7.
once there is a current default program for the file type you should be able to enable the autorun feature.
give it a try, perhaps that may help.
cheers

also just to add, try opening the cd drive from "my computer" to explore the files. on the file that contains the manual, right click the select "open with" select a default program to use from the list (or use the browse function). most of these types of manuals use adobe reader or similar.

I can open the individual pdf files by exploring the CD however there are thousands of them and they are not identified in any way that you can guess which it is that you need
The CD on Windows XP opens inside Internet explorer with a very detailed index and from there you can go precisely where you need to be
Somehow somewhere there must be a method to access that "Start" area. XP is automatic........with Vista and W7 .that doesnt happen on this CD
There must be a file extension that I need to recognise and look for to start it myself
Thanks
