Recently went the Perth camping show at Claremont showground , seems to be a lot more stuff on show than a few years back when it was at Ascot race course . Loads of vans but no A vans !! SWMBO was rather taken with one of the Jayco Sterling vans which had a quite large toilet /bathroom/laundry area and at the front a retractable table with 2 recliner chairs .
i was more interested in the solar gadgets including wind turbines displayed by a local firm from Bassandean and all the latest sattelite dishes for tv reception .
Just wondered any other opinions on the show ??

Actually the show was pretty good. We ere after bits and pieces for our coaster. We picked up all sorts of crap as you do lol. It seems to get bigger and better every year.

G'day Brian,
I couldn't make it due to work but the wife and one of our friends went - they reckon it was a great show and spent all day there and came home with lots of goodies and ideas.
Picked up some great small stuff for inside including these washable rubber things that go over the tops of your bowls/plates to stop stuff spilling in the fridge while travelling. (bowl condoms?) seem like a great idea.
She even had ideas for me to spend money when she is normally trying to stop me!

Glad you enjoyed it.

Stumbly

Hi Brian,
I went twice, once with 'er indoors who got bored after a while, and then alone the next day (Saturday) when I had a bloody good look around and got a really good deal on a 70L Evakool yellow fridge/freezer, including an inverter, a remote wireless monitor, two Coleman camp chairs, a fridge stand, an esky and various other goodies for the normal price of the fridge itself.
Good to see quite a few young couples with kids looking at vans etc. Get them away from the TV/computer screen for a while.
Overall, I thought it was a good show and there were bargains to be had.
Cheers, Tony
