Hi all,
Have acquired 3 old Solarex panels the model numbers of which have all faded away. They measure 660mm x 1105mm each and from my research of this site think that they may be VLX-70W or VLX-80W units. I wish to link them together and through a regulator keep the camper trailer lighting, the Waeco 50litre fridge , the shower pump and water transfer pump operational for at least a week.
Battery power is a Fullriver AGM 120 amph unit in the camper, a 90 amph deep cycle wet cell in the 80 and two ex Telstra ups 24amph in a portable battery box. All are connected together with 8mm cable and Anderson plugs.
Question is... what regulator to use and where do you get it ???.
Previously in our travels we are able to
camp for at least 3 days without problems but this time we will be in a remote location for at least a week.
Recent threads have left me confused as to which way to go.
Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like you have 3 X 80 watt panels .. that approx 15 Amps - So you need either a 15 or a 20 Amp reg/controller -- An MPPT would possibly help raise the Amps a bit - so on a daily sunny basis you might collect 6 X 15 = 90aH .. The Waeco flat out on freeze would only use about 35 aH daily so you should last a few days - If your lights are LEDs then you should have no problems staying for a sunny week BUT if it turns ugly then 3-4 days max..
Refer to my profile for more MPPT and reg info
