Patrol autolocking hubs

I'm getting a clanking sound from the front end when I am in 4wd with the hubs set on auto, but not when they are locked, does anyone know of previous problems with autolocking hubs on patrols and does anyone have any suggestions?

Patrol autolocking hubs do fail, your better off changing them to manual ones. Check here

Howdy ,
I had them on my late GQ after many trouble free years, one had the hard casing start to come off the thrust brg and the cost was too much to replace to replace it , if the price had been comparable to the non guenuine I would have bought them again ,they are good .
