Does anyone know if 4WD's are allowed on the beach at Hamelin Bay? If so, how far can you go each way?

Cheers

Andrew

Yes there is access through the National Park entry which is approximately 500 metres north of the T junction where you turn right to stay on Caves Rd.

Maybe 2-3km of beach at a guess. Hit the beach and turn left and only go 1km, turn right for the other 2.

Sorry, the entry is in fact about 500 metres (rough guess) north of the Bushby Rd - Caves Rd junction.

hi Andrew,

heading up the said track will bring ya onto Boranup Beach. Turn left it will take you up to Hamelin Bay caravan park, good salmon fishing along this stretch at the moment if you can find a nice deep gutter on the shore !

turn right and head on up to where the surf is if there is any swell! good fishing along here also!

if ya going swimming, be aware 2 white pointers have been spotted in the shallows at Redgate and further south chasing salmon.

Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how popular it remains!

I guess you mean two 'white pointers 'of the type we don't want to actually run into! LOL

Cheers Evan.
