Reading through this
forum is really quiet amusing sometimes. I'm not saying this to be nasty, hippacritical, funny or otherwise, but somebody asks a question and there will be 6 or 7 answers to this one question. Every body contridics everybody else, and really does anyone know the right answers............. Sorry, i don't mean to be nasty, but some of the answers are so different from other ones, which one do you believe...........
Just something I have noticed, but anyway on the other hand there have been some very useful and interesting subjects discussed. I look forward to getting on here and spending an hour reading all the bits & pieces. It is a terrific site !!!!!

Hi Karen,
We all have different answers because, if all our answers and thoughts were the same, this
forum would be terribly BORING!
You do not necessarily have to believe anything you read on this site but if you are after
information and you get a variety of answers to the question then add them up and divide by 2. In other words look for the answer that gets repeated the most.
In general you will find some very good
information here which is what forumites have experienced at one time or another.
I too enjoy the daily read and sometimes marvel at some of the dumb questions put to the
forum. Answering some of these has put me offside at times :-)
Cheers
Willie

Hi Willie, yep, know what you mean there, I have upset a couple on here as
well. Not intentionally though (
well I didn't mean too! LOL) probably the same way you haven't meant too! But hey, life goes on.....

Willie
Is the last paragraph of your reply your true thoughts? Mate, of course there will be some dumb questions aksed. They probably come from fairly inexperienced people WANTING TO LEARN. The question asked may seem dumb to you but not to the person asking it.
If it upsets you so much answering the question DON'T ANSWER IT.

I can live with the dumb questions, but some of the answers are even dumber from people who only THINK they know it all.
I too find it humorous reading at times.
I guess if you realy need to know the answer to something your best bet is to ask an expert, not a
forum, LOL

Hey Dave,
And I thought we were a clever country. Did I say it upset me? No, I mentioned that some people, perhaps like yourself, get offside when I answer a dumb question or a dumb statement by concluding what is the obvious. Then someone may get upset by being shown what a dumb question they had asked. Come to think of it I have read many dumb questions but have only ventured to make a comment on two occassions which were met by howls of dissent. Oh
well, you cannot please veryone.
BTW if this statement offends you dont answer it!
Cheers,

Dumb Questions????
Undoubtedly a number of people are more experienced than others in certain areas of life, 4x4 driving included. So what the experienced person sees as 'Common Sense' the inexperienced person may see as a difficult and perplexing issue.
The only really dumb question is the question which is 'NOT ASKED.
A question not asked may result in a series accident or worse IMHO.
Great site and thanks to all of you for answering the dumb questions.
Cheers

Hi Karen...good question..
Sometimes I think people ask a question and have an answer in mind, and they hope to get justification for it from other's.
I've asked a few questions on this
forum, and I'm happy to admit I'm a complete novice, so if I get a couple of contridictory answers it just gives me more to think about and research. And if I get confused [which isn't hard sometimes] I can ask some of my friendly forumites off line and can discuss it further.
I guess the main thing is, it's a public
forum, we are all going to have different opinions on different issues, that's life afterall, and as mentioned before, life would be boring otherwise. People in the end, take the information, and use what they think is going to be helpful and right for them.
and you're absolutely right, this is a terrific site, with lots of helpful information...and a really helpful group of people too...
cheers

Hi Lyn, From what I have read about you, you seem to be the mum of this site, every body knows you and it seems everybody loves you. I have read some of your questions and replies, and got a gigle out of some of them. I don't know about confusing you............ I think that could be a bit hard, you always seem so nice and you have deffinatley got a sense of humour, which you need on here. Good to see there is someone that can keep all these boys in line anyway, Lyn, lol.
I think Ken may be right. I might have started a bushfire on this one, and I didn't even try (oops).
Anyway, have a good day Lyn
Kind regards
