I have had both and am using airtec at the moment and is my favourite...
Airtec has a very protected air intake and safari is face-on with the elements and seemed to catch more foreign objects...Just my personal preference.....
The airtec has nicer lines and supply plastic inserts to screw into your'A' pillar where the other require you to screw straight into the 'A' pillar..... Just personal like i said...._____________________________________________

On the other hand, the Safari is out in the open, gets a better air flow.. ;)~
They should both get the same amount of foreign objects, as the heads are only inches away from each other.
The head on the safari has a larger opening for airflow..
It comes down to looks.
