You might be lucky to get one from a wreckers, maybe ?? $500/600 thats cheap for a nipondenso compressor new, or was this a second hand price, I would expect that price second hand, I wouldn't bother getting an after market brand, they wont do the job as good as a genuine one, as you are obviously thinking along those lines I presume. For sure, I was quoted one for my old hilux and it was going to be just under a grand, (genuine from toyota) got an aftermarket one as I was selling it anyway but it wasnt a cold as the nippon and it took longer to cycle off and on. Regards Steve

Hi qubert
I paid around $800 2 years ago for a new Denso compressor fitted and gased with a filter.
And that was the best price i could get some quotes were $900/$1100.
It's not easy to find a good second hand unit.
You have to way up how long you want to keep the vehicle for, if you want to get a new Compressor?
I would not be with out air-conditioning money
well spent for me!
Rob

be mindful that you will only be getting a refmanufactered compressor for that price, denso dont actually make them new any more, unless some dealers have one on the shelf that they have not sold in 10 or so years,

You can still buy them new as a complete assemble or as a bare body only.
Whats wrong with yours?

I was quoted minimum of $800 yesterday. Dunno if thats genuine or not but i thought that was very reasonable.
