I think TJM make them for 100 series, should also make one for a GU.

I made this for rocks (luckily as well) and for insects just attach a piece of shade cloth when needed.

Kept the rocks off the lights and grill and only the smaller bugs got through. We now have some shade cloth that can be clipped on to the stone guard and tossed away if rubbished by bugs etc.

Crikey Vkidx,

That looks fantastic and from a redisent of the ACT.

Not certain what you do there, but could you join the govenment and set this talent to fixing things to the medical system, the tax system and most other federal sytems.

It started as a "catch a polly" screen. But they duck for cover too quickly these days. And the others just "spin" off it.

The first model using fly wire only just saved the radiator and one light while I was stopped waiting for a road train going in the opposite direction on the GRR, to pass. That's a second stronger one using the same frame but with 10mm green "chicken" wire. The wire in the first one was totalled by the rocks and stones from the GRR truck. That's why I have some shade cloth to go over the middle but to stop the bugs getting into the radiators (water a/c and turbo inter cooler.) that are just behind the grill. Worth every $60 I spent.

Have found fly-screen wire from Bunnings to be as good as anything. Tucks into little nooks around the grille and still lets plenty of air on to the radiator...
