Hi,
Does any one know where to get good heavy duty drawer runners for storage systems in
Melbourne ? Don't want to recycle filing cabinet ones.
Thanks
Matt.

Try a place called "concept fastners" the runner are called Acuride and are the same as on many fridge slides etc they come in a number of lengths and carrying capacity. they are not cheap though but excellent quality ph 03 93875466

I made my own very heavy duty runners.
I bolted some 15mm square steel tubing to the side of the draws I made and then bolted two rows of rollerblade bearings for each side of the draws. Very simple, very strong, very cheap. I will take some digital pics if you like.
Cheers

If you know anyone in the IT industry, you might be able to "approprioate" a 19-inch rack mounting kit aimed at big computers. I know a guy who did this and it worked a treat.
