We are thinking of going to Gordon Country camping for the Anzac day long weekend. We havn't been there before and were wondering on any comments on the facilities available. A search revealed a lot of talk last year about the Goomburra camp ground but we are just after a update on what is happening now in the area.
We tried to book a site but were told just turn up, set up camp and we will find you with maps etc.
Any info appreciated.

Gordon Country is True bush camping No toilets ! No Showers ! what you take is what you have. This is one of the reasons it's great truly able to get away from it all.

Just watch out for the donkey he eats a fair bit !!

There is some great bushwalking around there as well. The walk up to Mt Superbsous (sp?) and the Lincon wreck is well worth doing

Mt Superbus is along walk from Gordon Country.

Best access is either Emu Creek or from The Head.

Gordon Country is privately owned and family operated - not to be mistaken for the same place as all that disgraceful kerfuffle last year on EO. I have been camping at Gordon Country since 1988 and it is delightful - particularly now when there should be some water in Dalyrmple Creek. You pass through Gordon Country on the way to the Goomburra State Forrest (just up the road) and there are some wonderful lookouts and walks in that region. There is some good 4WD on Gordon Country - you need to check this out with the Owner or Manager (who comes around each day). As there are two long weekends in a row and the weather is cooler (read - good drizzly rain today) it will be rather good up there. Have fun.

Thanks for all the info sent.
According to their website they have three ablution blocks with hot showers and septic toilets, so I hope that is correct and will let everyone know if it is not.
