This alert is valid from 2 December 2009 to 30 April 2010 (inclusive) and it applies to the following parks:
Carnarvon Gorge,
Carnarvon National Park Carnarvon Great Walk
The
Carnarvon Great Walk will be closed from the 1st March 2010 until the 30th April 2010. This is due to flooding and track repairs. For further information, please contact the
Ranger in Charge on (07) 4984 4505.
Site Closures
This alert is valid from 17 April 2010 to 25 April 2010 (inclusive) and it applies to the following parks:
Carnarvon Gorge,
Carnarvon National Park
Access Road to Westbranch
camping area,
Rotary Shelter Shed camping area and the following sites are closed-
Kookaburra cave, Lots Wife, Marlong Plain, Incineration Site,
Top Shelter Shed, Peawady Gorge, Mahogny Forest and
Head of Carnarvon Creek from the 17th of April 2010 to 25th of April 2010. Ring Mt Moffatt

Talking to a friend a few days ago who cancelled his trip there because the 80km walk was closed, but I understand the main tourist walks and Takarakka Resort are open.
