hi
what a mess
looks like a forerunner
how did anyone survive such a crushed and crumpled disaster
it must have landed heavily on it's roof each time it rolled
i doubt it was only doing 100km
looks more like 160km to me
only my honest opinion
hope they all recover
cheers

Definately a Forerunner/Surf, much like the one I saw at 1770 the other week when I was up your way Dave.
Five backpackers in it, roof basket loaded about 500mm high, the load area chockers and overtook me in the hire car and I was sitting on 100kph at the time.
They were doing way more than me and I never caught up ;-))), might even be the same one!

The girls involved are ok, but very sore. They stayed with us over christmas/new year. One is in Alice hospital and thankfully didnt loose any arms/legs. The other is facing dangerous driving charges and even had to spend a night in the Tennant Creek lock up. Very lucky.

Been there done that.
Inexperienced 19 year old driver over correcting while overtaking & end for ending plus a few rolls at 100 kph. 3 hospitalised & driver thrown out of the car & only had a broken nose. I was a month in hospital the others were out in one & two weeks.
The joke was I had only been discharged from hospital a couple of weeks earlier & we were on our way to a party at the nurses quarters. I got to see plenty more of the nurses again.
The model of car was an unrecognisable when it was towed away.
A big difference was that 30 years ago they didn't charge the driver with dangerous driving. I don't even think he got a fine.
