birdsville track

Looking to travel to Birdsville leaving from Maree about 17th May. Will there be any problem with water from Qld. at this time? Thanks for anticipated help. After time travelling up and time there will head home via Innaminka. Any suggestions appreciated. We are well prepared and have travelled many other 'off-road' tracks...Gibb River and Cape York.

Ruth,
What is the situation with Eyre Ck at the moment and towards June? We will be in town in mid-June.
Thanks.

There is a flood in Eyre Creek (within the banks) and the bulk of the water is only just arriving at Muncoonie Lakes (to the north of where you cross Eyre Creek if going into the Simpson. Don't know about June because it isn't even May yet - there will be plenty of water, that I do know.
