This small island off the WA coast hosts, amongst other things, one of the five GPS earth stations, the others being Ascension Island, Hawaii, Kwajalein Atoll and in Colorado Springs.

One of several strategic islands that the yanks took off the poms after the second war. And then they made them pay reparations even though they technically won the war. Or did they win? Yanks poured money into Germany like the germans were their best allies and left mother england paying back all the war debt they accumulated. With friends like that I would rather seek out an enemy to parley with.
