Has anyone used a Staun Massojet to remove mud from their vehicle? As I am thinking of getting one I would be interested in your thoughts regarding ease of use, and whether it is any better than using a garden style nozzle.Hilux Dualcab, 3 litre diesel

I bought one when my baby Karcher gave up the ghost. i bought the one that you can also plug the air into but not worth the extra cost over a decent high pressure garden nozzle except the bend is good for under the guards. Also they are only going to be as good as the water pressure at the tap.

I have decided to get thye Karcher fixed or replaced because the othet is not worth it for mine.We have so little time to enjoy our land

Did the Air compressor actually make a difference? Ive been tossing up between a karacher or a air compressor & massojet. Air compressor can do many other things i need!

However if the Air makes stuff all difference in water pressure then there isnt much point i spose.

The Air compressor works well to push the Water out at a lot higher pressure.

We did a write up on the Air and Water Gun Here:

Hope this Helps.

Anyone want to pop over and check one out in the flesh, borrow one for the weekend to see if they really work in Melbourne / Geelong, Let me know.

A mate of mine has one. After doing Fraser recently and doing the commercial car wash thing, then a trip to carlovers, he then used the Massojet a couple of weeks later and found it removed HEAPS of sand after thinking it was clean . . .

Best thing ever he recons

We won ours in a raffle at the first club meeting we attended.... something of an omen maybe??? :-) But we have used it heaps to clean the truck and yes... it is only as good as the tap pressure and yes it is good for getting under the guards etc and yes a Karcher is definitely better but the bottom line is that it does what is is supposed to do! We have a Karcher, we also have good tap pressure and I find it more conveniant to use the Massojet than the Karcher. it really gets into the crevices etc.... just remember to be thorough!

Mate! never heard of the Massojet ( then , you learn something every day) however I use a Karcher 520 with a flexi nossel.

You've never seen anything so clean aftewrwards. Nothing beats that flexi nossel.

Have a look at www.offroadshop.com.au they have them there price is very good too.

I went and got a Karcher, the one with the metal not plastic handle bit, cost more, but worth it.

You are right on the money again.

If you get a Karcher you have to get the flexi wands/nossel, you have to make sure its the one with the the brass knuckle joints inside.

Have purchased a Massojet earlier this year and find it excellent - especially for mud removal underneath. The pressure is nowhere near as savage as a pressure cleaner and I don't need to be near power either. I find it much, much better than a garden nozzle.

I have used a Karcher (?) powered pressure washer for cleaning dirt & grease/oil out of my concrete carport floor and also for mud removal from the Patrol. No doubt in my mind that the powered ones blast mud out quicker but beware, they can also blast out bits you would like to keep (like plastic tabs on inner guard linings.

The Massojet is now my weapon of choice for underbody cleaning.

Cheers

G'day folks,
I have a Massojet 900 and it's great - not as good as a high pressure cleaner like a Karcher - but heaps less expensive and easy to pack in the 4WD for extended trips away from home (and you can hook it up at Truck stops and wash excess mud off your vehilce for free!).

It's only as good as your water pressure though...

Cheers,
Prado Boy
