Drysdale River Station
Hi Everyone,
Well the GR road is now open, with some heavy traffic restrictions.
The
Kalumburu Road is now open as far as
Drysdale River only.
Opening grade work to fix only the washouts is commencing from Drysdale to the
Mitchell plateau turn off, then also on the
Mitchell plateau track.
This is not the full grade but opening work only.
Of course it's not my decision but hopefully the plateau track may
well be opened in approx 1 week or so from now.
Due to 2 weeks of late rain up around the
Mitchell plateau only, ( we didn't get it) the plateau track has till now, been to wet to put the
grader on to it.
The rest of the
Kalumburu Road right through to
Kalumburu is to be inspected again in the next week or so to see if it can be opened.
Check out the SWEK ( Shire of
Wyndham East
Kimberley) road report before travel as they make the decision.
cheers, Anne
