Yep, it pays to do your homework before you get pulled in by ads purporting to have big reductions on prices. Often the price quoted is the RRP, despite the seller implying there's a big sale.

Well fair call but it is an "auction" that reduces by $25 per day so like any auction that is expected to decrease, you'd have to be pretty gullible to buy in a the opening price.
That's if the email I got was the same as yours.
Though if their list price is the same I guess it does just pay to
shop around.

Looks like the same as one on a website I frequent. The only difference is the unit is described as "near new"!!!!

Welcome to the Goldmark Principal
Slowly jack the prices over a number of weeks and then 'have a sale' and sell for RRP.
Who knows what the RRP is??
My guess is whatever the retailer says it is. Remember Harvey Norman doesn't have a sale every week........just 52 a year.

Let your mouse do the walking, you can research pricing on the Internet to the point that it's easy to find best pricing and best deals. Never impulse buy, give yourself time to research and do your homework. Nowadays there is Ebay, clearance online houses such as Catchoftheday.com.au
Google is your friend..
