Howdy,
I am interested to hear feedback about the Opposite Lock Rackmaster Roof Rack.
I like the flat design and wondered what they are like.
At this stage I will only be carrying light weight stuff on the rack (Tourer Tent, Annexe, Chairs, etc) but would like a rack with the capacity to carry heavier items such as tyres. My vehicle is a 4.2TD GU Patrol.
Thanks
Ev

I have one of these on my 100 series.
It has been good - handled everything I've thrown at it including
Cape York and gulf trip with roofrack heavily loaded.
Some of the powdercoating is coming off but doesn't affect it's operation.
You can get a bunch of things for these racks. They are the same as the dolium windcheetah racks

The accessories aren't cheap though.

IMHO the best option around in roof racks. Had ours on the 4.2 patrol since new. Stays on and the Foxwing was easily attached. Highly recommended. Dolium are the importer from South Africa.

I dont notice any noise.
My 4by is a lc105 - the poverty pack, so its not a quiet car to begin with.

I have one of these racks and while it was one of the most expensive on the market, money
well spend, IMHO.
I bought the spare wheel attachment, as
well as 8 "eyelits" that can be mounted anywhere along any rail top or bottom, or taken off alltogether.
I was also drawn to the fact that its flat design made it less likely to cause drag when not in use and actually sits lower than the top of my
snorkel head (Toyota genuine), so no clearance drama's.
I did close to 12000k's, including crossing the
simpson desert with a second spare wheel & trye, hi-lift jack, shovel, oz-tent,
camp table, some other lght stuff adding up to the cruiser's roof weight of 150kg with no problems .
preatty easy to make attachments as required, I made my own shovel holder with peice of pipe and some flat steel insteda of paying what I thought was too much on their attachment.
