Hi all.
I'm considering aquiring an A'Van Sportliner.....My tug is a Subaru wrx hatch (2008) The towball down weight for this model is 75kg...
The Sportliner being aprox 60kg..(and well within the max towing weight)
Would be used 90% on the bitumen
Is anyone out there using this combo? or similar...
Does anyone foresee any problems..... ?
Thanks for taking the time to read

also looking at this option.

From what I've seen and heard you won't have a problem at all. Do a search on 'Sportliner' and from memory there's a thread by someone else with a Subaru asking the same question.

When we first started to look at caravans we looked at the AVans and spoke to owners and were impressed. Mind you I have never found a caravan owner yet who said theirs was a heap of .... We decided against them in the end because we wanted something we could take off road. The AVans are definitely not off road. When I spoke to AVan they were quite rude about my inquiry to have 16" wheels fitted if we bought one. Mind you I suppose with a WRX you should not go off road anyway. Even with only 60kg on the tow bar you will be low at the back and prone to bottom out on "smooth" tracks.

Richard & Leonie..
Thank you for your input...I really only intend to stay on the flat stuff and try it out...( being a bit of a newbie).......You have identified the fact that it will be low at the back and be prone to bottom out...Something to be aware of !!...
If i find that i want to get more involved (probably a no brainer) then the beloved wrx will have to be decommissioned!! :)
Many thanks..
