Hi all, can anyone report on the recent track conditions into Wonnangatta through East Buffalo Road, East Riley Road and Wonnangatta Track?
Also whether anyone has been in there with a Track Topaz or similar weighted offroad van (1500kg dry). Assume good 4wd skills, Nissan Patrol and all terrain tyres.
Thanks
Mike

Was there in Jan 2010. Left the Valley via that route. It is all good, but the final descent into the Valley is quite steep and a little bumpy. If possible have someone travel in front of you, and hold traffic if there is any at the bottom coming out until you are down.
Definitely the easiest access to the Valley.
I don't tow, so will leave specific comments about what you are towing to others.

Gaday Mike. The track into Wonnangatta the easy way should not pose too many problems for you at the moment. It's a reasonably easy track in good condition. I know of similar sized vans going in that way before. Your long drawbar may lead to dragging over a few irrigation ditches but that's about it.
The
bridge at Riley creek has been given a weight limit & to be replaced next season but don't believe they are using the adjacent ford to cross yet. With the recent rain this week the rivers will be up a little so you'll need to be prepared for the crossing of the Wonnangatta & possibly Dry River down in the Valley.
Take a chainsaw as at 2.5 metres you will be one of the taller vehicles to sqeeze under fallen timber.
Cheers Craig..............
