As the well run Ford / Nissan dealership in Emerald have no longer got Nissan, from what I can see, through no fault of their own, (I am perfectly happy with the pricing & service they provided re my new Navara dual cab 4x4) where do we all go for service. No, I am not driving 266km to Rockhampton (532kms round trip) each time. Come on Mr Nissan, where do I and the hundreds of other Nissan 4x4 owners around here go for genuine service? Come to think of it, where do Nissan buyers go. Plenty of other strong brands of 4x4's and cars are well represented here. No use making them if you are not going to sell them. Bet Mr Toyota is happy. The fleet buyers here are not at all happy with that decision.

Mr Toyota is doing the same thing, Julia creek had a good Tojo dealer until Toyota pulled the rug from under them a few years back.

Guess some will stay with the brands and others will move to another manufacturers.

Bit like the banks, that have pulled branches out of regional Australia.

Any licenced mechanic won't void the warranty. Let them know in advance so they can get the genuine filters sent up from rocky.

Yeah thanks TB. Mainly the posting was a wake up call to Nissan to do something about a dealer here after having had a good one. I once worked five years for another multi million company (engineering products.. rep.) where the purchase of stock brands/types had to pass the accountants who were 10 miles away in another setup. What a disaster. Accountants are great with money I guess, but not with stock which must be purchased, ultimately for the customer, end user, not for some accountant who never got hands dirty. One would think, Nissan being a clever company, they would have someone else ready to take over. If they don't, they are really working for their opposition, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Izuzu, Holden, Ford Hyundi etc who all turn out some great products. I was aware at the time of posting that our local Ultra Tune guys can do the log book services, but just wanted to see how many ripples radiated out when I cast the stone. Dig me?
