scenic flights from innamincka or birdsville

Barb - last year we did a flight from Birdsville for about three hours down the Diamantina River over Goyder's Lagoon and back up Eyre Creek and our first contact was made through the caravan park in Birdsville. We were then given the mobile number of the pilot and spoke with about the flight.

It was very good.

I have seen a couple of brochures for KJM Contractors that do scenic flights of 1 or 2 day duration, although the flights were listed as being ex Adelaide.

It has a number of tours from Birdsville including flight over Lake Eyre.

I am not sure if it is on the web site but they will also organise flights from Brisbane to Birdsville.

The owners of this web site own the Birdsville Caravan Park I understand and also manage/own the tours advertised so have a vested interest in making sure things are done right and not just getting commissions for steering you in a particular direction. Important in my view anyway. I am not sure what ownership they have in the flight operation though.

Actually just read the flyer and what is advertised is a flight from Brisbane to Birdsville and then over Lake Eyre but surely they do flights from Birdsville also.
