Hi All,
I'm looking for some advice from those that have been up to this area and done the odd bit of fishing. We are planning a trip up to this area in late July, early August on a 4 week trip from
Melbourne. We'll probably come
home via the Flinders but our plans are fairly open at this stage. We are hoping to quite a bit of camping along the cooper from
the dig tree down through Innaminka & maybe a bit beyond. I am looking for advice on what is usually around, what's the best bait, type of rod/reel, etc. I am wondering if it's worth packing a yabby net also?
Any advice & to hear your experiences would be greatly appreciated.

ChrisK - if you goggle "fishing the Cooper Creek" you will get a number of replies which will give you all the information you have requested plus some more. Last year we caught a feed of fish and one of yabbies.
Have a great time.
A J
