No doubt it will different again this year as it is every year, but many a year ago my petrol pathfinder in standard trim dragged an offroad camping trailer (not a camper trailer) to the top via OTL and zigzagged west and east on the way back. Only creek I opted out of was the
Jardine. Done Pascoes (deep and rocky), Gunshot (no need to adlib here), Wenlock over at
Stones Crossing (nearly drowned it here), Cannibal (this was nasty on the nthn side and deep in the middle), Nolans (one following us spent 4 hrs swimming in his troopy in this one) ect ect. Everyone will just have to weigh it up when they get there but plenty of people drag those sort of setups all over the cape without hassles and then there is the one that didn't quite make it for one reason or another. So my advice is go for it and allow enough time to retrace your steps a little if so needed.
Don't worry about the rest of us, we'll keep the economy floating by paying heaps of taxes hehehe.
Have fun.
Trevor.

Was up there last year and dragged our camper up the OTT up to
Twin Falls. We did a day trip from there to Nolans and back just for a look see. The only one I would be wary of is Nolans, as they had already lost 7 vehicles at that crossing earlier that season and it is traditionally one of the most treacherous.
All the other tracks, including Frenchmans, were challenging, but very do-able.
Cheers
Gerry

Hi Guys, with a setup like what you have, you shouldn't have any real drama's. We took two odyssey's and two patrols up there last year to shot "To The Top Of Down" DVD, and the our only worry was one brand new/faulty shock absorber on one camper. I do stress though not to leave
home on old tyres, half tread or less, as 99% of the time they will let you down. Take your time, think before you tackle anything, slow down and enjoy the ride. A cape trip is not about the destination, it all about the getting there and back.
Penny tackels the cape in a outfit similar to your self in the dvd, and makes it look easy.
Check it out, it's available in the online
shop or at www.discoverozproductions.com where you can
check out the trailer.
Very Jealous,
BJ.
