We're off to Cape York

We'll be leaving Brizzy on Sat 19th June for 3 weeks up & around the Cape. There are 2 more trucks with us, 2 with CT's with one meeting us in Cairns, 3 in total. From Cairns we plan to do the Creb if open and the usual Cape tracks, OTL and highlights etc.

I realise that many of you will be travelling that way in the coming weeks so If anyone would like to join us, on-route, catch-up or tagalong you're more than welcome.

Just let me know :)

Andrew

You not going to make another "Prescilla Queen of the Cape" movie are you? I still get a laugh out of the Birdsville movie you made a few years back now when I seem to recall it was "Prescilla Queen of Big Red" on my big screen LOL!!!!

I hope you have fun you fortunate buggers. It's all right, I will cover the bills by paying heaps of TAX!!! over the time you are up there swanning it up.

Regards,
Trevor.

Hi Trev,

It's been a long time no speak eh! Hope your wife and the kids are well. It'also been a long time since Big Red - too long. Thats not to say we havent been out and about, quite the opposite as we seem to be 4wding, camping etc almost every weekend. Been putting this Cape trip off for a couple of years now and finally it's come around Yay!

Thanks for keeping the country running till we get back from our 3 week adventure :) were also going scuba diving and white water rafting ;o)

Is that enough or should I go on (tee hee).........

Hi Andrew,

I'll be up there at the same time with 4 kids. I'm leaving the camper trailer in Cooktown and picking up an Oztent RV5 to do the Cape with. This is because I can't reverse towing a trailer and figure I'll have less problems without it!

I'll be driving a blue Nissan Patrol! I may just tag along if I come across you.

Have a great trip!

Frances

LOL, sounds like you intend on finding all the most difficult tracks possible... Very comforting for me knowing that I can call you up to pull me out of a bog whilst up there ;o)
Have fun and we might cross paths along the way - I'll keep my eyes peeled

I am leaving Newcastle tuesday 25th for Cairns. My wife will be flying into Cairns on Sat 29th and we hope to leave for Cape York on Sun 30th.
We will be in our GUIV TD42TDi tourer with 2" lift and 32" MTR wranglers.
We are a bit into hard core 4wd with our other patrol - GQ RD28T with a bit more lift an the same MTRs but that's our toy, not our tourer.
Would love to tag along with anyone up there at the same time and watch any hardcore playing that is going on at the time, taking the chicken tracks ourselves.

What channel UHF should we listen on? We don't have a callsign and will respond to Paul and Barb.

Hi Paul, we'll most likely be on Channel 10 and just yell out for Craig & Andrew or Shawsie. We have a white 90 series Prado and a Grey 200 series with all the fruit. Not long to go now :)
