Hi Tom,
I had 2 sets of Pro Comps muddy's on my GQ some years ago. (2003-2006) The first set I thought were brilliant, although being new to 4WD'ing at the time, I had nothing to compare with. I got about 50K kms out of them, they had great grip in the rough, right to the end of their life. On road they were typical muds, a bit noisy and not much good in the wet. When the time came to buy a new set, I went for the Pro Comps again, the new set were noisier on road from new, and seemed to be rougher on road as well. I tried alignments and balances etc, but it was the tyres... almost like they were "out-of-round" or something. I also staked one through the sidewall on a very innocuous looking bit of wood. This second set lasted just over 40K kms, and, as I was disgruntled with them, I chose another brand of tyre, which I am still on now.

I don't know if Pro Comp changed the compound or something, or the manufacture process, but the 2nd set weren't as good as the first. They may have since sorted this out, and if they have, good on 'em, that first set I had were great!

Please note, I am just letting you know my experience with them for your information, not knocking them. I wish you well in your venture selling them!

Cheers

Brian

Hi yu Tom
We have had Pro Comp A/T tyres (305/70/16) on our Cruiser since new and have had a great run out of them, averaging over 65000 each set.

A friend of ours put a set on his Cruiser and got over 100 thou out of them.

We are about to leave for the Mainland and have put a new set of tyres on for the trip but have changed to BFGs as the PCs are getting toooo expensive, a bugger realy as i like them.

Stock them they will sell.

Cheers
Baz

i also have the Procomp Muddies 305/70/16s and also like them very much. when i do retire them i will buy another set. i believe the A/Ts can get over 100k easily and still provide good grip. i have been all over the country on them and never had a flat, they are looking very sad but still operational with many cuts and slices in them. for an all round tyre they are great, not too noisy and grip well in the wet for a mud tyre not to mention dig mud well also.

Gaday Tom. Have several friends that have been running Procomp for a few years now & have found them to be a very tough tyre performing well on all surfaces including the outback. I have the Etreme Mud Terrains & would place them in the top 25% in their class for toughness/traction/road holding & life. If the distributers are good to work with (no supply issues) I'd say you'd be getting into an excellent under rated brand.
Cheers Craig..................
