I've got one - have only used it once in anger.

Our touring setup is a rooftop tent off one side and an awning off the other. I've made a kitchen that slides out of one of the rear drawers of the vehicle, and bought the r.v. shade to cover that in inclement weather.

They are basically light nylon tent material, with fibreglass poles running through them.

Think a $100.00 three man tent and you're just about on the money. They are about as fiddly as a $100.00 tent to put up also.
Not toooo bad, but certainly not great either - wouldn't like to be putting one up and down every day, and certainly wouldn't leave it up in high winds.

For the money they are allright, just don't expect miracles.

I've got one. Quite happy with it. Once you know what bit goes where its not hard to put up and gets easier with practice. Also agree that high winds knock them around a bit. If using it on the beach the pegs supplied are inadequate. Get 500mm sand pegs from BCF.
