Hi,
We plan on getting a Diesel Navara in the next few months and then to take off for 4 months this time next year. What spare parts should we take? Also, which supplier is the best?

Hi Jazzy
I always carry
Top and Bottom radiator hoses
Oil , Fuel and air filters
Fan belt
Power steering belt.
A lot depends on where you intend to travel and how remote as to what
you carry, you may want to carry spare engine oil etc.
I prefer to carry genuine spares but you can ring around and may get a
better deal. The main thing is
check the parts you get fit your vehicle, nothing worse than having to replace the fan belt on the side of a track, only to find out that the spare you have is the wrong length.

Go genuine, it's the only way...
Before our recent 3 month trip ( last years trip ) I replaced the fan belts, and kept the old ones for spares. That way I was sure that the belts were in tip top condition.
Radiator hoses were Genuine too. and just stuffed into a corner,
I flushed the radiator, and block, and replaced the coolant with new/fresh Genuine coolant before we left.
I dropped the diff oils, before I went, and changed the oils and filters every 5,000 km's no matter where I was.
The end effect of all that was no drama's..
My long range fuel tank split along a weld, Just off the Canning, on the way
home. I then experienced the best after sales service, in the world, from BROWN DAVIS. ( there are posts on the
forum about that )
Cheers

Sorry, one more thing.
I put new Old Man Emu Shochers on the Patrol before we left, and carried the old ones as spares..
