Firstly it must be pointed out that I have no association with this company what so ever. I decided to type this because of the courtesy I received.

This is mainly directed towards the W.A. people that have been looking for those milk shaped square storage boxes that were around for yonks and disappeard with the demise of Nylex.

The company that sells them here in W.A. are :- Blyth Enterprises
Unit 10, 83 Hector Street
Osborne Park.

They sound like the ones I bought last week at Bunnings? A choice of bright colours and 'solid' sides and bottoms. They were labelled as 'Hobby Box'. Great for storing the casks and cans over the corrugations.

Cheers.

Which Bunnings? Went to three of them yesterday two didn't know what I was talking about and the other no-longer stocked them!!
That is why I went on the net and found the above. Now made by Nally over East

Bunnings Inglewood. It's not even one of their superstores. Maybe I should go and buy a couple more!

Wouldn't worry John, Blyth Enterprises has about 500 of the sods.

Out of curiosity what is their price?

$ 9.00 .... in WA ... with freight costs ????

Thats good value considering the thieving home hardware stores want up to $15 for em in NSW.

Mind you ... I do remember when they were only about $4 at BigW a coupla hundred years ago ... LOL

Not all bunnings stores carry them.

Plenty of home hardware stores do tho.

A little tip ... If you cut one down to the bottom of the handle hole ... and stack it on top of a normal one ... you only need a 3/8" ply lid and its about the same height as most jerrycans ... makes for easy packing in a highside trailer .....

The nylex one was better as the internal corners were square .... and those little kitab hobby boxes from bunnings packed in quite well.

These ones from bunnings last well too .... Plastic Crates

Yes I've got a few of the Ki Tab ones that are approaching 30 years use as drawers in the back of 4wd's.

Yes I looked at them - unfortunately they are not square like the milk crate type [like the Nylex and Nally hobby boxes] and will not fit into the space.

Hi Tony

are you talking about the Nylex HW009613AS Hobby Box assorted?

I have some of those and they are perfect....square, stackable in any of the 4 sided config and very robust. I have been trying to find a stockist for about 2 years. Bunnings used to stock them but have not for the last couple of years because they dont stack inside themselves they are too expensive per unit to transport over from the eastern states because of the number / pallet.

What Bunnings do stock are what is called a "Hobby Box" but they are a very second rate product to the original Nylex as they are more flimsy and only stack one way other wise they fit inside themselves

I will be delighted if what you have posted is the original product.....a phone call this morning will make me a very happy bloke if that is what they are!..

I have spent countless phone calls and internet searches looking for the original ones....thanks for the post

Yes , they are made by Nally as Nylex has gone bust. bought 3 yesterday.
They appear to be stronger than the old nylex and stack on top of themselves which ever way you put them.

Will MM you
