Talking to a group at
White Cliffs (International) Airport today who are travelling in 6 light aircraft over the Paroo, Darling etc. They said the Paroo had inflow to the Darling & although other media reports state that river heights won't increase apparently there is plenty of water still coming down the Paroo heading for the Darling.
On my recent travels I've found that locals in
Wilcannia are blaming the extra water going into the
Menindee Lakes for the quick loss of water from their region and the
Menindee people are blaming everyone above them for the lack of water heading their way. Similarly the SA people blame everyone.
The aircraft mob are off to
Hungerford for the night & say the country side looks great. A different way to see the country.
