Larger diameter tyres

Can anyone with a Disco 300tdi auto fitted with either 245/75-16's or 215/85-16's quantify the even more leisurely acceleration and/or the worse running away down hills ? Are the effects noticable ? I'm considering Cooper ST's. Any opinions ? Thanks in advance !

I have a V8 Disco running Cooper ST 245/75-16. Fitted with OME Suspension and Springs even then there is still a bit of rubbing. Cooper Tires questioning whether my car was Petrol or Diesel as the Diesel would suffer significantly more with acceleration. Not to bad with the car running away. The Cooper ST are great tyres very aggressive and good in mud for an AT. The speedo will also read slower than actual.
