Hyden to Norseman road

Hi all,
Any one been that way since we had a bit of rain?
We will be heading that way july 10 with dmax and a jayco base station on our way to SA, having never been that way before just wondering if it would be ok or should I take the hwy to Kal and down?
The archives give a bit of a mixed reaction so after a bit of an update.

Did it a few years back....was a pretty good road in June that year.

But contact the Shire of Kondinin to make sure it is open...its a two second call.

I was in Norseman Saturday arvo and the road to Hyden was closed then, will be back there Monday will give you update if you like?

hi stumbly

as your not going until july and the area is entering the wet winter period
the conditions at present could be vastly different to what they might or will be in july
my advice would be to contact the kondinin shire a few days before departure as the road conditions can change overnight because of the soil types and /or the amount of rain etc and /or whether it has been graded etc in that zone as those of us that have traversed there in the past know full well
as is pretty much the case for any dirt road region not only hyden to norseman

Road still closed, I agree with Mazcan comment,road is in good nick most of the time when it is open,when it get closer ring Norseman shire on 0890391205 or contact me via Oz Explore, I work in Noresman every 2nd week and I will help you with info if I can.
