HI guys,
I am having troubles getting my Oziexplorer CE device to access the maps I have purchased from HEMA. (ECW format)
Does anyone know how to set up the Map and Data files path, along with the Map Image Files Config?
Also, do you have to have a GPS lock to be able to access the maps? ie, can you view the maps inside a building?

Hello
With respect to the Map files path set it to the location where you have your maps located by clicking on the little box with the dots in it - see image below
Image Could Not Be Found
Use the same method for defining where you want your data files stored by default.
Map Image Files Config = this is only neccesary if you choose to have your maps (actual map image) and the calibration files in seperate folders. Suggest you Keep them together.
"do you have to have a GPS lock to be able to access the maps"
No - just go File - Load map File and the map will load.
Cheers

I didn;t think OZI CE supported the ECW format. This may have changed though
You have to convert them to OZF2 or OZF3.
There is a utility at the Ozi site for doing this but it takes a long time.
Check the Hema maps CD as they often provide both.
You can look at the maos without a GPS.

Hi
The current version of OziCe supports ECW and yes Ozf format is supplied on the DVD.
Good point, if SmokeyD is running an old version of OziCe then OZF is the only option. Without any further feedback a bit difficult to pinpoint issue and solution.
