Definitely turbo!
If you drive at exactly the same speed and distance with a non turbo and then do it with a turbo, youll find you use less fuel with a turbo fitted, as your turning waste energy back into useable energy and more power is created at less revs.
The only problem, once youve got the power, youll want to use it, there goes the fuel consumption!
As truckster says, theres many parts that can vibrate on any vehicle.
Start with a wheel balance, thats the cheapest!

Auto Gearboxs are good, I wouldnt change mine for manual, so updating to a GU aint gonna happen, )unless I go all out V8 Chev Turbo Diesel, with auto...) but GQ autos are expensive if they go bang, $4000 for a complete rebuild. There seems lots of second hand autos going around cheap at the moment.

With the viabration, go with the cheapest first.
Try wheel balance,
Wheel bearings, as they could do with a grease anyway ;)
Then go with the tailshaft..

They can have issues with steering boxes too but you dont want to know.

Clutches on the early ones can be a bit light, not sure about a '94. Apparently the viscous coupling on the fan can be a bit of a wink link, as can the baffles in the fuel tank, they start to weep after a while, put an after market one in, bigger capacity and cheaper fitted than the original part not fitted.

BUT, you should still buy one, they are exceptionally good value for money, and last, and last, and last, and last.....................................

sorry, should have also said that driven at 100 k's on highway, you should get about 24 -26 mpg, can be a bit thirster around town 19-20 mpg.

Petrol should give you about 14-18 mpg on highway.
