Does anyone have current info on the state of the
Pascoe River crossing on the French Line road from the OTL to
Portland Roads up in the cape.
Contemplating going via French Line from
Weipa through to
Portland Roads.
Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,
That would be the Frenchman's track. The French line is in the
Simpson Desert. I will have up to date info around 18th June. I travel it each year and it never changes, always pretty big washouts, The Pascoe is always 900 to 1 m deep and a technically challenging crossing.

Thanks Dave
Yes. I have my
geography mixed up. I meant Frenchman's Track. I did it about 10 years ago so was wondering about current situation. It was quite a rough crossing then with the bow wave occasionally hitting the bonnet.

It hasn't really changed any in that time as far as I can recall. Expect much the same.

Easy crossing east to west, more challenging west to east.
