Hi seasoned travellers :)

Can anyone tell me (recommend) a caravan park any direction within 40 mins drive of Coffs Harbour that has river frontage for a caravan? Preferably powered. ..Don't want much do I ? :) Doesn't matter if its 10 mins away or 40 mins...

A place we like to stay is at Wooli which would tick your boxes about 40 mins [maybe a little more] north from coffs and well of the main highway ,sites are absolute riverfrontage ,quite town ,nice pub next door for meals plus more. Solitary Islands Marine Park Resort

Probably the best place is around Urunga, a little to the south - see this link

Zoom into each site to see their position and click the "satellite" box in the top RH corner of the map.

Dick i which one are you referring to. My map shows 5 around Urunga. If you want a good pet friendly then look at the Mylestom one. Have a look at Badgers site for campers assessments of these parks.

the one we saw was right on the waters edge by the walk way, can't remember the name but i'm sure it was council run. There was also lots of rabbits just hopping around, very friendly being feed by the campers most probably why no dogs allowed

Rags is right in that Wooli is good, there are two Parks, The first Solitary Island Marine Park, and the second one further down is the Council run park, not as good, but closer to the Bowlingg Club with the best Chinese Tucker.

Others to look at closer to Coffs are:
Redrock, right on the Beach and Corindi Creek/River. About 15 Minutes North from Coffs
and
Moonee, again right on the Beach and River, not sure of the River/Creek, probably the Moonee Creek. About 10 minutes North from Coffs.

There are plenty in the area, these are just two I have stayed at.

Oh yeh, all three have Sandflies at some time of the year.

Good luck

I'll definitely second Red Rock as well. We will be back there again for a week or so but with a canoe next time to get across the river.

I have heard of a riverside caravan park at Repton which is about 20mins south. Its right on the banks of the Bellinger River. Link is here

Have not stayed there but family members go there often and reckon its tops.

Cheers,

This one looked good when I surveyed the area for a club rally. We went to Mylestom as Repton was a little small for our group.

hi selina

im from coffs and visit the solitary islands marine resort at wooli twice a year for holidays. absolute river front!!! great privacy between sites in way of a line of trees\shrubs. powered etc. great ammenties, pool, camp kitchen. playground, mini golf. service station and hotel next door. great crabbing in the summer months.
its probably a bit longer than 40 mins but still worth it. minnie water is close by for beautiful beaches and fishing (4x4 beach with permit).
hope you have fun and dont forget to spend lots of money in coffs whilst you are there. our economy will thank you. lol

Selina V,

The park at Repton ticks all the boxes. Even closer now since the highway has been upgraded into Coffs from the South.

This is a Big4 park @20k's north of Coffs.

Stayed there a while back, brilliant.

Great for kids if you have them, but if not, just a good. Golf course nearby as well.

Take a look.

Well Nomadic Navara

I definitely know that Wooli, Redrock and Moonee are River front, and there pretty close to being within the travelling time, not sure on the others.

Although Urunga is on the River, so maybe the Caravan Park is as well, and maybe Repton is too.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Yeh I think that most contributers have paid attention to the Question.

Thank you all... I do actually live in Coffs too but its a case of never going anywhere close to home. And never owning a van before, never bothered as much with caravan parks.

I need to have it within 40 mins because I have to work on weekends and was planning on doing a few days and driving to and from work. I would love to have a great view to come back to and relax and forget all the stresses :)

Im going to research a few of them, my hours aren't allowing for any visits atm. They all sound good :)
