Hi there,
can anybody recommend a good diesel mechanic in
Alice Springs who is experienced and qualified to look after a 97 Troopi which has obviously problems with injectors or pump? It's urgent, best would be tomorrow.
Thanks

If no one answers with an actual suggestion, I reckon you would be safe to walk into any of the workshops in
Alice Springs and ask if they have an experience diesel mechanic.
Most would have no problems with a landcruiser. My brother in law has lived in the NT for years... he reckon it stands for Nother Toyota!

Well, that's what I thought when I got it serviced in
Coober Pedy ... and I am wondering why it went worse and worse immediately when we hit the road North ... btw it used 22.5 l per 100km while towing a camper trailer - which used to be something like 16 - 17 ... I filled both tanks with Mobile diesel, any bad experience with their diesel quality?

The Alice is a way bigger town. Ask around for a referral. Maybe ask at SuperCheap or Autobarn, or Repco etc who they would go to.
Coober Pedy is still a bit of a wild west style town.
