Extractor cost for 80 series

I have checked some of my local exhaust
places for a 2.5 inch exhaust and extractors for my 4.2ltr diesel 80 series and am looking at $1400, I am being bent over here or is that fairly normal? I am wondering whether the word "Landcruiser" attracts a price premium?

Thats a little steep. Mate recently had extractors and 2.5 inch fitted to his 80 series and it was $1300 fitted. And that is in
Kununurra WA, where nothing is cheap. At the same time another mate had the same fitted to his 75 series and it cost him $1600 but only beacuse they had a mongrel time getting the old one off amd trying to fit the new one around the sidestep mounts.
Check Ebay im sure they had some decent exhausts on there once for 80 series. Really you just want some decent extractors and mufflers. Dont worry about mandrel bent pipe, just get whatever exhaust pipe yu can get thats 2.5 inch, bang in a good muffler and whack some good extractors on. Dont pay for a full Lukey system or anything like that. Surely they could knock you up a custom job for less then off the shelf prices.

Thanks Muntoo - I really appreciate that. It struck me and a mate whose a die hard 4b as a bit steep. I'll have a look on ebay too, our local 4b wreckers are expecting a set in soon and they seem like decent guys so I'll
check that out also.

Thanks very much for the kind offer, I had another member email me who I am waiting on a price from so I will need to see what he comes back with first because I am not too sure what a fair price is for these things and I dont want to offend you with a ridiculous offer.
