gear crunch on GQ shorty patrol

My 4bie is making a crunching noise as i drops into overdrive does anyone knows why this is happening or what caused it any help would be great

It can be a number of things , Clutch is the first
check , I once had a shorty that wore the pivot bolt , were the clutch fork sits . This caused a clunk in forst and fifth . If all the clutch system checks out fine , you will probably find the sincro in fifth shot
