Queensland Parks have stated that the Eyre Creek bypass in the Simpson Desert will be open on the above date, weather permitting.
Great news for those going.

I heard it MIGHT open as early as the long weekend but may not. I heard the main issue is getting around Big Red, 1.2m plus of water. They were planning to have a track around it but the land owner said no.

Has anyone heard anything else or even crossed?
